Student-athletes recognized at Fall Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in varsity cheerleading, crew, cross country, football, softball and volleyball were recognized at the Fall Sports Assembly on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in Morris Chapel.

In cheerleading:
Junior Anna Katherine Cates of Rome received the Scholar Award.

Junior Farrin Mumpower of Rome received the Pillar Award

Senior Madeline Drummond of Rome was named Most Valuable Player. 

In crew: 
Seniors Will Robertson and Emily Robertson, both of Kennesaw, Ga., received Scholar awards.

Junior Tanner Shadday of Rome and senior Hollis Grigsby of Midland, Texas, received Pillar awards.

Junior Jakob Andersen of Helsingborg, Sweden, and senior Emily Robertson of Kennesaw, Ga., were named Most Valuable Rowers.

In cross country:
Junior Henry Fields of Kingston, Ga., senior Lawson Sumner of Cave Spring, Ga., and senior Jade Cox of Rome, received Scholar awards. 

Junior Chase Pittman and senior Jade Cox, both of Rome, received Tiger awards.

Freshman Lawson Blake of Rome and senior Stephanie Ward of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, were named Most Valuable Runners.

In football: 
Seniors Hunter Manning and Will Sparks, both of Rome, received Scholar awards.

Senior Hunter Manning of Rome received the Heart of a Tiger award.

Senior Landon Lawrence of Temple, Ga., was named Most Valuable Player.

In softball: 
Seniors Alyse Redden of Cedartown, Ga., and Adrianna Young of Meridianville, Ala., received Scholar awards. 

Sophomore Jasmine Sparkman of Cartersville, Ga., received the Pillar Award.

Senior Keara Evans of Rome was named Most Valuable Player.

In volleyball: 
Junior Gianna Pieroni and senior Mary Margaret Wright, both of Rome, received Scholar awards. 

Senior Mary Margaret Wright of Rome received the Pillar Award.

Sophomore Julia Holmes of Rome was named Most Valuable Player.
