Dr. Melissa Rice Presents at Class of 1953 Lectureship

Dr. Melissa Rice spoke to Upper School students, faculty and alumni as a part of the annual Class of 1953 Lectureship Series in Morris Chapel on April 22.
Rice is an assistant professor of planetary science at Western Washington University and presented a lecture titled “Driving Cars on Mars: An Inside Look at the Science and Engineering of NASA’s Mars Rover Missions."
Class of 1953 members present for the event were Sam Donaldson, Buddy Dundervill, Jerry Dunwoody, Gene Herrin, John Hine, Jimmy Kirkland, Mike Luxenberg, Jerry Minge, Dudley Ottley, Moultrie Powden and Spencer Willis.
The Class of 1953 Lectureship Series was established in 2003 to commemorate the class’s 50th reunion.
