Each week in third-grade social studies, students read their local newspapers to find a current article of interest about their hometown. They are searching for history as it happens! To help them understand the process of sharing news, third-graders toured the Rome News-Tribune. We explored the newsroom, the printing room, asked questions of the staff, and learned what it means to STOP THE PRESS!! A new generation of reporters may be in the making!
