Fifth-graders had a great time at our "Beat the Winter Blues Lock-In" on Thursday, Jan. 20. At 2:30 p.m., they participated in a community service project by taking paper product to the Davies Homeless Shelter on South Broad St. The students read a novel about a homeless family before Christmas called "The Family Under the Bridge." A screaming good time was had by all the Middle School Basketball game, where the students enjoyed cheering both our teams to victory. After dinner, the students enjoyed swimming and diving at the Huffman Athletic Center. Before watching the movie "Despicable Me," we studied spelling and enjoyed a snack. Believe it or not, most were fast asleep before midnight in the Middle School Commons! A great time was had by all.
