Samantha Lester visits the Upper School String Ensemble each week. Mrs. Lester studied at Columbus State University with Manuel Diaz and has performed extensively throughout the Southeast. Her performing experiences include the Macon Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. This past summer, Samantha was a faculty member of String Fellows in Montgomery and The Suzuki Institute of South Carolina. Each week, Mrs. Lester brings her daughter Alexandra for participation in the the String Ensemble. Alex is a homeschooled student and is taking part in the first year of Darlington's Home-School Community Outreach Program. This program will allow home-schooled students from the area to participate in any ensemble within the instrumental department.
