SAT/ACT Prep: Courses to be Offered on Campus

As our junior class begins to register for the SAT or ACT, parents often contact me to see what we have available to assist their child in improving their scores. Fortunately, Darlington provides many opportunities for students to learn preparation techniques for these standardized tests.

While every Upper School student at Darlington already has access to free online SAT test prep via Naviance's "PrepMe" software, I am also excited to share that for the second year in a row we are partnering with Applerouth Tutoring Services to host an SAT/ACT prep course at Thatcher Hall (Middle School). The Applerouth class will take place on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning Feb. 23. The first session will include a mock test to help students identify areas of focus. A series of seven classes will be conducted to help students prepare for the May administration of the SAT. The cost of this course is $524. Registration is on a first-come basis and will be open to other students in our community. To register and ensure your student’s place in the course, click here and enter the event code 1044.

In addition, Darlington will offer an SAT/ACT prep course boot camp July 15-26 here on campus. This camp will provide a week of intensive SAT/ACT preparation and feedback on practice tests. For more information, contact Leanne Mann (lmann@darlingtonschool.org) or Steve Hulett at Applerouth (www.applerouth.com). This is a great opportunity for rising juniors to get started on their SAT/ACT preparation!
