The crew team traveled to Augusta, Georgia over the weekend to participate in the Head of the South regatta. The novice boys eight placed second in a race of eleven boats with a time of 18:22.32.

The novice boys were coxed by junior Sloan Jansheski. The stroke was freshman Will Crawford, seven-seat Braxton Ballard, followed by Matt Heiken, Renato Prieto, Trent Glass, Harlan Dulaney, Adam Tarrant, and bow-seat Will Robertson.

The boys were ten seconds off the winning boat's time. Coach Lauren Peal said, “We are very excited about the potential of these rowers in the years to come.”

The other four Darlington boats showed substantial improvement and placed well in their races.
