Outstanding athletes in varsity cheerleading, crew, cross country, football, softball and volleyball were recognized at the Fall Sports Assembly Dec. 5 in Morris Chapel.
In cheerleading:
Seniors Mary Bailey Jones of Rome and Tanna Key of Calhoun received Scholar-Athlete Awards.
Seniors Mary Bailey Jones, Carolyn Kipp and Kelsey Ann Williams of Rome and Kamlyn Andrews of Cedartown received Captains’ Awards.
In crew:
Juniors O'Keefe Johnson and Saahil Patel of Rome received Scholar-Athlete Awards.
Senior Anna Jane Ledbetter of Rome and Keenan Freyberg were named Most Valuable Varsity Rowers.
Juniors Kristi Hicks of Versailles, Ky., and Francisco Canales of Torreon, Mexico, were named Most Valuable Novice Rowers.
Juniors Virginia Summer and Patrick Tarrant, both of Rome, received Coaches' Awards.
In cross country:
Junior Remy Jennings and senior Jesse Baker, both of Rome, received Scholar-Athlete Awards.
Freshman Kinslee Clevenger and junior Alex Cox, both of Rome, were named Most Improved.
Freshmen Lauren Hooper of Rome and Spencer Fields of Kingston, Ga., received Newcomer Awards.

Senior Lindsay Evans of Rome and sophomore Avery Cypress of Atlanta received the Coaches’ Award.

Sophomore Arden Babb of Rome received the Coach’s Award.
Freshman Emily Swafford of Dallas, Ga., was named MVP.
In volleyball:
Juniors Bailey Brock of Rome and Alyson Atwell of White, Ga., received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Junior Bailey Brock of Rome received the Coaches’ Award for Offensive Player and sophomore Sammi Harton of Cartersville received the Coaches' Award for Defensive Player.
Senior Carrie Simon of Rome was named MVP.
