Athletes honored at Spring Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in baseball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track and field were recognized at the Spring Sports Assembly Wednesday, May 6 in Morris Chapel.

In baseball:

Cleve Jackson of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award.

Thad Jolly of Kingston, Ga., was named Most Improved.

Chase Butler of Rome was named Team MVP.

Brice Baker of Rome received the Coach's Award.

In golf:

Courtney Statham of Cedartown, Ga., and Sneh Patel of Limbe, Malawi received Scholar-Athlete Awards.

Abbie Brewster of Rome and Sneh Patel of Limbe, Malawi, were named Most Improved.

Will Jones of Rome was named Team MVP.

Taylor Wynn of Rome received the Coach's Award.

Allison Hubbard of Rome received the Captain Award.

In lacrosse:

Collie Powers of Rome and Kathryn Aldrich of Charlotte, N.C., received Scholar-Athlete Awards.

Brian Davidson of Rome and Anna Fox of Cartersville, Ga., were named Most Improved.

Collie Powers of Rome received the Founders' Award.

William Waters and Lauren Dulaney, both of Rome, were named Team MVPs.

Kim McAbee of Rome received the Coach's Award.

Rick O'Neal of Rome received the Exemplary Attitude Award.

Charlie Breen of Rome was named Best Teammate.

Connor Somerville of Rome was named Most Valuable Attackman.

William Waters of Rome was named Most Valuable Midfielder.

Fred Johnson of Rome was named Most Valuable Defenseman.

In soccer:

Monique Picon and Spencer Carroll, both of Rome, received Scholar-Athlete Awards.

Constanza Ospina and Margaret Hjort, both of Rome, received Captain's Awards.

Sarah Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio, was named Most Improved.

Anna Shea and Will Orr, both of Rome, were named Team MVPs.

Cris Lowe of Rome was named Coach's MVP.

Taylor Richardson of Rome received the Sportsmanship Award.

In tennis:

Yumehito Takimoto of Cartersville, Ga., and Natalie Maffett of Rome received Scholar-Athlete Awards.

Jason Lu of Norcross, Ga., and Kelsey Ann Williams of Rome received Spirit Awards.

Rea Law of Rome and Anna Biggers of Armuchee, Ga., received Coach's Awards.

In track and field:
