Baldwin Harris, daughter of Shields and Jack Harris, Rome, Ga., has been selected to receive an Alumni Award from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Va. She will receive an annual award of $5,000 for a total of $20,000 over four years. Spring Hill College, Mobile, Ala., has also selected Harris to receive an Academic Honors scholarship of $11,000 annually for a total of $44,000 over four years.
Meggin Roberts, daughter of Marie and Paul Roberts, Lindale, Ga., has been selected to receive the Sewanee President’s Award from Sewanee, The University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn. She will receive an annual award of $6,000 for a total of $24,000 over four years.
Grady Lester, son of Cindy Yancey Lester and Mike Lester, Rome, Ga., has earned one of Hampden-Sydney College’s top achievement awards, the President’s Award. The school located in Hampden-Sydney, Va., will award Lester $10,000 annually for a total of $40,000 over four years.
Whitney Smith, daughter of Denise and Jimmy Smith, Rome, Ga., has been offered the Converse College Scholarship by Converse College, Spartanburg, S.C. She will receive $10,000 annually for a total of $40,000 over four years.
Jessica Wallin, daughter of Terri and Terry Wallin, Cartersville, Ga., has received the Loyola University New Orleans Recognition Award of $4,000 per year, for a total of $16,000 over four years, from Loyola University New Orleans, La.
Mika Wells, daughter of Debra and Greg Wells, Cartersville, Ga., has been named a Loyola University New Orleans Scholar by Loyola University New Orleans, La. She will receive a merit award of $12,500 annually for a total of $50,000 over four years.
Josey Goldner, daughter of Beverly and Bill Goldner, Key West, Fla., has been selected to receive an Eckerd College Honors Scholarship from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Fla. She will receive an annual award of $8,000 for a total award of $32,000 over four years. Goldner has also been selected as a Presidential Scholar and as a Centennial Award recipient by Rollins College, Winter Park, Fla. She will receive $6,000 annually, for a total of $24,000, and a Pentium laptop computer as a Presidential Scholar and $3,000 annually, for a total of $12,000, as Centennial Award recipient. The total value of her awards from Rollins College is $36,000 over four years.
Meghan Howell, daughter of Cate Howell, Rome, Ga., has been named a University Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. She will receive $8,500 annually for a total of $34,000 over four years. Berry College, Rome, Ga., has also awarded Howell a merit scholarship of $7,000 annually for a total of $28,000 over four years.
Hunter Edwards, son of Frances and Rob Edwards, Rome, Ga., has also been awarded a merit scholarship from Berry College. He will receive $5,500 annually for a total award of $22,000 over four years.
