It's summer time! Time for all of your favorite activities: relaxing, playing, and ... READING! In the summer, you can read whatever you want AND be rewarded for it! READING + PRIZES = FUN!!!
It's super fun and super easy. All you have to do is keep track of the days over the summer when you read for at least twenty minutes. It’s that simple! The library will even provide you with a calendar to keep track of your time.
You can read whatever you want to read: fiction and nonfiction books, picture books and chapter books, comic books and graphic novels, poetry books, arts & crafts books, magazines, and newspapers will all count toward your twenty minutes per day.

You can keep track of your reading on the printable summer calendar that can be accessed here. Please bring your calendar with you when you come back to school in August. It can be turned in to the library or to your homeroom teacher. You can also e-mail a scanned copy to Ms. Ward at kward@darlingtonschool.org.
