Students in Ms. Shores's 11th grade AP U.S. History class created "found" poetry while studying the Montgomery Bus Boycott that began in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. Students were given materials to read about those involved in the boycott, then were challenged to select only twelve words to create a poem about the historic part of the Civil Rights Movement.
