Fourth grade took time to visit the Chieftain's Museum in Rome as they near the end of their study of the Cherokee people in Georgia. Students got to tour the home of Major Ridge after learning about his role with the Cherokee and Trail of Tears. Even though students were dressed in their "Wacky Wednesday" attire for spirit week, they were serious scholars walking through the museum and discovering Cherokee artifacts!
