Let’s get to know Christa Twyman, a nine-year day student from Rome who serves as president of the Student Activities Committee and cheer captain.

What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Family Guy”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Blue Fin (but I love Sonic Slushies)
What house are you a member of?
Thornwood
What are you involved in at Darlington?
Thornwood House head prefect, cheer captain, Student Activities Committee (president), Black Student Union
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Smyly because she has been there for me during cheer and outside of the season. She gives great advice, too.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
Thornwood because I know I will always see someone in there and it's a great environment.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Evans because he wants to see everyone succeed and we are able to talk about other things going on in the world and relate them to our class.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The connections I've gotten to make.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Being able to be around people of different backgrounds every day has opened my eyes. Most of my close friends are resident students and I know that I wouldn't be able to experience this at any other school.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Even though I don't remember exactly how I was in fourth grade, I know that I've become more open. I wasn't necessarily shy when I was younger, but there is definitely a difference with how I am very outgoing now.
What is your dream job?
I want to be a judge.
