Fifth graders went on an adventure to the cave located in the hills behind the school. As we hiked, we talked about what the four Pevensie children of C.S. Lewis', "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," might have felt as they hiked through the woods in the strange new world of Narnia. Inside the cave, we compared what our cave is like to Lewis' description of Mr. Tumnus' cave and the secret hideout of Mr. and Mrs. Beaver. We also just enjoyed the mystery and excitement of being inside a cave!
