The first-graders celebrated the 100th day of school in style. Dressed in homemade T-shirts, grey hair, glasses, cardigans and suspenders, the first-graders participated in lots of fun activities. Students were broken into groups and were given a 100-piece puzzle they had to build together. The class also got creative when they were given 100 items -- ranging from popsicle sticks, to magnets, to dominoes -- to build anything they wanted. Finally, the students took part in a "crack the classroom" activity, which led them on a scavenger hunt in the classroom to find the hidden cake. After using a number decoder, decoding secret messages, performing math problems and locating clues, they were able to find their prize. We celebrated by enjoying a real donut hole cake in the shape of a 100.
