Lillian Baggett's dad, Dr. Baggett, was a special guest in the science lab today. The fifth-graders are learning about human body systems, and Dr. Baggett, a cardiologist, taught them about the heart and how it is our body's engine.
Students were able to examine three different human hearts during the class and they also learned how to count their pulse and label the parts of the heart. Dr. Baggett stressed the importance of exercising and eating healthy foods to keep our hearts in good shape.
