Senior Ansley McCoy has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for March.
A day student, McCoy is an AP Scholar With Distinction and member of National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Model United Nations and Spanish Club. She serves as a day leader in Cooper House, Darlington's first-year girls' house, and as co-president of the Global Studies Program.
An avid lacrosse player, McCoy has played competitive club lacrosse for four years, competing in 19 tournaments in 13 different states and receiving numerous awards and honors. She also referees and coaches a youth team.
The daughter of Sharon and Lance McCoy of Kennesaw, Ga., Ansley will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on March 19.
