Zimmer celebrates pride

Zimmer House held an open house for resident and day students with the theme of, "Celebrate the pride in ALL of us." Students socialized while enjoying some great American pastimes like hamburgers and hotdogs and movies. “We had a great crowd of students,” Libbie Zimmer, dormitory duty staff, said, “from the time we opened the door until the time we kicked them out.”
The students were invited to "Create-A-Card" for two of the fire stations in N.Y.
“We supplied stickers, markers, paper, and fire house addresses for this,” Zimmer said. “The students all did a fantastic job designing pictures and enclosing special notes.”
They also held a, "Change Challenge," which was a competition between all six houses to see which house could collect the most change to send to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Zimmer House then matched the total collected. A donation of $100 will be sent in the Griffeth and Zimmer House names. Thanks to the students’ efforts, the Houses tied in donations.
