Dust off your bike, find your goggles and get your running shoes laced up -- it's time for the 5th Annual Tri for the Kids Triathlon on May 5 to benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia. If you have never been a part of this grand event, it is held right in our backyard -- at Darlington's main campus! Kids ages 6-15 may participate and we would love to have another great group from the Lower School this year.

Ages 6-9 will swim 2 laps (50 yds), bike 2.3 miles and run 1/2 mile
Ages 10-15 will swim 4 laps (100 yds), bike 4.6 miles and run 1 mile
*Just think of your best summer day -- you do all of those things without even thinking about it!

We will offer training practices the month of April to help your child get ready for the triathlon:

Mondays in April from 3:15 to 4 pm, we will host bike/run practice at the Lower School. Bring your bike/helmet when you come to school and we will bike the levee and run on Tiger Field.

Wednesdays in April from 4:15 to 5 pm, we will host swim practice at the Huffman Athletic Center pool at the main campus. Bring your swimsuit, towel and goggles!

Sundays in April from 3 to 4:30 pm, we will host swim/run practice at the Huffman Athletic Center pool at the main campus. Bring your swimsuit, towel, goggles and tennis shoes!

***Parents, I will need some assistance at these practices. Please email me to let me know that your child will attend and whether you are interested in helping.***
