Wilcox Hall features Darlington Salon

Darlington School now offers a convenient service to students as well as to faculty, staff and their children. Opened in 2012, the Darlington Salon is operated by master cosmetologist Annie Colavita, who lives in Moser House.
"This full-service salon is affordable and unique to Darlington,” she said. “It allows students and employees to get their hair cut or styled during the school day so they don’t have to leave campus Many boarding students do not have vehicles, so having a salon right here in Wilcox Hall makes it very convenient for them.”
Colavita, the wife of Head of Moser House Kyle Colavita, is a graduate of Charleston Cosmetology Institute. She has four years of previous experience working at high-end salons in Charleston and Lake Placid, N.Y.
“I have really enjoyed being able to do what I love to do while getting to know the students and faculty on a more personal level,” she said. “It brings me so much joy when I get to make people feel good about themselves on a daily basis!”
