West Side Story Auditions to Take Place in October

The fine arts department will begin auditions for West Side Story in October. The auditions will include voice, dance, and acting.
“The rehearsal demands will be rather time consuming,” said Marisa Ortega, who will direct the Feb. 11-13 musical. “We will have regular Sunday afternoon rehearsals in addition to the daily afternoon rehearsals. There will also be dance rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at the Dance Center, beginning as soon as we cast the show.”
Choral Director Dan Bishop will direct the music portion of the show while Bill King, instrumental music director, will conduct the orchestra. The performances will be held at the Rome City Auditorium.
