Were You a Darlington Athlete?

Were you a Darlington athlete? That was the question we asked our alumni this week via e-mail. As part of the new Web site, we are adding a page in the athletic section to pay tribute to our alumni athletes who played collegiate sports. We are asking for your help to ensure that our information is as accurate as possible.

 

If you played on a collegiate team, please send me your information in the following format: Name, Darlington School graduation year, college/university, sport (Example: John Doe, 1990, University of Georgia, baseball). Please, no jokes. We want this to be an accurate representation of our alumni athletes.

 

I have been thrilled by your response so far. We have heard from well over 100 alumni reporting their participation in collegiate sports ranging from football, baseball, basketball, cross country and tennis to surfing and rugby. It is amazing how many Darlington athletes have gone on to play at the next level! You all make Darlington proud with your many accomplishments.

 

Several alumni have asked about a similar page dedicated to fine arts. You will receive an e-mail from me in the coming months with more information about this. Thank you for your suggestions!
