Web Motivates Math Students

Kevin Ivester, Middle School math instructor, is using the Web as an incentive for his sixth graders to excel in the classroom. He has created a Web page that contains photos of his math classes, along with photos of the students who make the highest grades. "The kids enjoy seeing their pictures on the site and it has become a motivating tool to get them to strive for excellence on each test," Ivester said.

To keep the interest level high among his students and the rest of the Middle School, Ivester updates the page daily and also posts a variety of photos from across the Middle School campus. To see the Web page go to www.darlingtonschool.org/faculty/kivester.
