Two seniors receive first scholarships for school year

Austin Rieley, daughter of Karen and Wayne Rieley, Rome, Ga., has been awarded a L-R Scholars Program scholarship by Lenoir-Rhyne College, Hickory, N.C. She will receive an annual award of $5,000 for a total of $20,000 over four years.

Alex Gonzalez, son of Blanca and Raul Gonzalez, also of Rome, Ga., has been awarded a $6,000 Dean’s Scholarship by Young Harris College, Young Harris, Ga. He will receive an annual award of $6,000 for a total of $24,000 over four years.
