Two named to All-Area Wrestling Team

After a successful season that included three individual Top-6 performances at state and an 11th place finish overall, two members of Darlington's varsity wrestling team have been named to the Rome News-Tribune All-Area Team. Spencer Jones, the freshman who took the state title in the 130 lb. weight class, has a record of 40-2. He is the son of Lisa and Scott Jones of Calhoun, Ga., and Selena Johnson, also of Calhoun. Jett Wayne Puckett, a senior, is a consistent part of the Tigers' squad. He was second in the expansive Area 1-A and finished the season 38-7. He is the son of Joy and Jett Puckett of Rome.
