Two named to All-Area Baseball Team

Two varsity baseball players have been named to the Rome News-Tribune All-Area Team.
Cole Miller, a rising junior, drove in 30 runs and hit six home runs. He maintained a .394 average and .610 on-base percentage. He plays first base and is the son of Lynda and Doug Miller of Rome.
Chase Butler ('10), who has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Georgia Tech this fall, blasted nine home runs and hit .493 to drive in 30 runs. He batted .619 with runners in scoring position and slugged .960. He plays shortstop and is the son of Lisa and Rhett Butler of Rome.
Brad Butler, Lee Couch and Oren Wilson received Honorable Mentions.
