Darlington trustee Norman S. Fletcher — a former Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice — will be among those honored by the Atlanta Chapter of the St. Thomas More Society as part of the annual Red Mass Celebration Thursday, Sept. 10

Celebrated throughout the world and in Atlanta since 1995, the Red Mass provides an opportunity for judges and attorneys of all faiths to seek blessings over the administration of justice for all citizens. For the third consecutive year, Atlanta Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will preside over the service, which is sponsored by the St. Thomas More Society, an organization of Roman Catholic attorneys.

In conjunction with the annual mass, Atlanta’s St. Thomas More Society honors attorneys each year who have followed in the spirit of the organization’s namesake, demonstrating a commitment to justice and ensuring fair treatment for all. Attorneys and judges of all faiths are invited to attend the Red Mass, which begins at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral in downtown Atlanta.
