Transforming Lives Through the New Year
By Joe Montgomery - FF/S
Last year was both exciting and fruitful for Darlington’s Second Century Campaign. We begin the new year with $78,257,371, which is 87% of our goal. Thank you to all of our generous donors who have helped us reach this milestone. We are especially grateful to those who answered the call to action by responding to the November mailing from Campaign Co-chairmen George Johnson ’54 and Jere Drummond ’57.
We would not be where we are today without the hard work and dedication of the many volunteers serving tirelessly on our campaign cabinets. I encourage you to visit the leadership page on our campaign website to see your friends and classmates who are helping Darlington’s Second Century Campaign succeed.
The remaining priorities of this campaign continue to be our faculty and students. Everyone in our school family has been touched by either a faculty member or student, and we need your help in ensuring that Darlington continues to attract the best of both.
Two generous friends of Darlington have issued challenges to match dollar-for-dollar all gifts to financial aid or faculty support up to $500,000 each. These commitments allow you to double the impact of your gift to the campaign if designated toward one of these two vital areas. Many of you have already chosen to take part in the challenge, and for that we thank you. If you have not yet had an opportunity to participate in the Second Century Campaign, we ask that you consider a gift to support either faculty or student endowment.
Please visit the Second Century Campaign website to learn more about how you can double your gift to faculty or student endowment.
