Tolbert named October Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Chase Tolbert the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for October.
Tolbert currently ranks 25th in the class of 138. During his high school career, he has taken 10 AP and Honors courses. He is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Thespian Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. A recipient of the the Parents Association Award, the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award, and the Darlington Players Award for Production, Tolbert is president of the Discipline Committee and secretary of the "Y" Cabinet. He is also a member of the varsity football and track and field teams.
The son of Missie Tolbert of Rome and Michael Tolbert of Kennesaw, Ga., he will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Oct. 30.
