Tipoff recognizes accomplishments

The Northwest Georgia Tipoff Club, a regional chapter of a national organization that recognizes athletic accomplishments, has acknowledged exceptional performances by Darlington basketball players. The Northwest Georgia Tipoff Club selected Hannah Betts, senior, to the December Northwest Georgia Tippoff team for the second consecutive year; Megan Betts, sophomore was named to the January team; Meggie Beth Erwin, senior, was named to the Player of the Year team for the third consecutive time. Khalif Muhammad-Williams was named December Player of the Month; and Troy Watson was named January Player of the Month and to the Player of the Year team.

Coaches, referees, and other sports enthusiasts, including newspaper editors, vote on the award recipients.
