Tigers middle school golf team wins Area championship

The team registered a nine-shot win over second-place Cedartown in the Area tourney at Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Cedartown.
Darlington eighth-grader Vraj Patel carded a nine-hole 41 to take medalist honors among the 35-player field. It was the third year in a row Patel has been low medalist in the Area Championship.
