Tiger Spirit Event: Make Plans to Attend Darlington Day at the Rome Braves

I am excited to share that we will host Darlington Day at the Rome Braves on Saturday, Aug. 23, at State Mutual Stadium!
We hope to see a huge crowd of purple and white in the stands as we cheer on the Rome Braves in their 7 p.m. game against the Charleston RiverDogs. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with pre-game festivities kicking off at 6:30. (The Darlington Community should enter through Gate 6.)

Darlington will be involved in many aspects of the pre-game, so we hope you will be able to attend. Head of School Brent Bell will throw the ceremonial first pitch and Upper School choral students will sing the national anthem. Our Tiger mascot and cheerleaders will be on hand to get everyone into the Tiger spirit.
In addition, our students will have an opportunity to participate in a parade around the field (I will share more information about logistics closer to date). Each ELA-5 class/grade will create a banner for participating students to hold in the parade. Our international students and faculty will also be involved, each displaying his or her country's respective flag.
Please save the date and make plans to join us on Aug. 23! We invite you to bring your family, friends, prospective students, and anyone else who might want to be part of this fun community spirit event.

Note: This will be a required activity for all resident students. Darlington's student life staff will arrange transportation and supervision. Resident students need not purchase individual tickets; their tickets will be handled in bulk by the school. However, if you are the parent of a resident student and you plan to attend, please order you tickets online at the link above.
