Ten LS students selected for Honor Chorus

Ten students from Darlington Lower School have been chosen to participate in the Seventh District Honors Chorus held in Rome, Ga., Nov. 17.
These students are Asa Crawford, Garret Fricks, Megan Healy, Allie Hurley, Nolan Jackson, Saahil Pati, Morgan Pollard, Vikram Singh, Harrison Williams, and Dillon Weeks. Participants were selected based on the following criteria: pitch accuracy, intonation, singing range, tonal memory and interest in choral singing. This annual choral events bring together students from schools in the Seventh Congressional District.
“Music is important in the lives of children and I am please that at Darlington Lower School, emphasis is placed on choral singing,” said Assistant Principal Diane Lumpkin, music instructor.
