Each year the Darlington Parents Association provides funds for faculty grants. The funds, which are raised from the spring auction, are dispersed to faculty members on a competitive basis according to which faculty proposals are likely to make the greatest impact on the classroom.

The following teachers have been selected for grants: Dan Bishop (Music), for travel to Europe for a concert tour; Mark Hoven (English), for travel to the Native American Preparatory School in Rowe, N.M., to attend the Bread Loaf School of English; Matthew Kearney (English and Creative Writing), for creative writing projects including efforts to publish poems and immersion in reading and writing; Virginie Morel (Spanish), for study at Middlebury College; Marisa Ortega (English and Drama), for travel to England to study at the Bread Loaf School of English, at Lincoln College, Oxford; Andy Roth (English), for travel to England to attend the Oxford Teacher Seminar at Merton College, Oxford; and Tracy Rucker (French), for study at Middlebury College.
