A group of 17 Darlington students will perform at a special concert on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. at King's Ridge Christian School in Alpharetta, Ga. The band, orchestra and chorus ensembles that take the stage will be comprised of the top music students from every Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) member school.

Prior to the performance, each student will audition for chair placements and then come together to rehearse.

Students were nominated by members of the ELA-8 fine arts faculty including Annie Camp, director of strings, Chris Holloway, director of wind and percussion, and Kimberly Human, music teacher.

"We are all proud of these students for accomplishing this goal," said Holloway. "These are the top students from ELA-8's performing groups and will represent Darlington extremely well."
