Students raise money for Habitat House

Darlington Upper School students are uniting for a school-wide service project this year. Students in grades 9 through 12 hope to raise $50,000 by January in order to build a Habitat House for Habitat for Humanity. This spring, they will begin work on the house.
Various advisee groups and student organizations hold fundraisers on a weekly basis. Additionally, the Lower School has organized a fundraiser with Longhorn Steakhouse in Rome, where 10 percent of all proceeds after 5 p.m. Nov. 13 and Dec. 4 will be donated to Darlington's Habitat for Humanity project.
If you are interested in making a donation to this student-led effort, please send cash or check made payable to Darlington School to the Assistant Headmaster's Office, Darlington School, 1014 Cave Spring Rd., Rome, GA 30161. Please enclose a note specifying that this is a donation to the Habitat for Humanity project. For more information, please contact senior Ben Pate.
