Students inducted into Middle School Honor Society

Middle School Honor Society inductions were held in late March in Morris Chapel. Students were reminded that the purpose of the National Junior Honor Society into which 38 students were inducted is to recognize those students who have exhibited good scholarship, good citizenship, service to others, leadership, and good character.

Members inducted during the ceremony included seventh graders Mary Al-Sayed, Emily Baron, Jamie Lee Bishop, Isabel Bonnyman, Nastassia Bryant, Virginia Burch, Spencer Carroll, Ebony Carter, Anisha Chandra, Esha Chandra, Thomas Craton, Alexandra Dodd, Trista Dowdy, Malvika Duphare, Matthew Glover, Amee Eubank, Nick Glass, Lauren Hampton, Natalie Maffett, Kim McAbee, Lauren McDaniel, Dylan Nichols, Will Orr, Monique Picon, Patrick Pierson, Jett Puckett, Alex Purdie, Taylor Richardson, Sharpe Sablon, Stephanie Schecter, Anna Stephenson, Sam Tumlin, Megan Ware, and eighth graders Brittany Hightower, Cole Phillips, Jeffrey Porter, Baylee Tudor, and Kate Waters.

Officers and members who participated during the ceremony included Claire Davis, president; Grover Brown, vice president; Katherine Knight, secretary; Jenna Marie Van Es, Sara Pate, Betsy Smith, Elizabeth Buice, and Ali Terrell, readers; Caroline Coble, who read the motto; and Patrick Collier, who gave the closing prayer.
