Students fulfill their end of the bargain

Senior Brock Eskrigge and junior Gibbens Monteleone showed up for yard duty at the Stinson Farm last weekend with reenforcements. A couple of months ago, the two boys offered themselves for hire at a Lower School fundraiser, giving a whole new meaning to the term "live auction."
The event, coordinated by Darlington staff member Kandi Riddle, raised several thousand dollars for the School's Habitat for Humanity project. Cindy Stinson, second-grade aide, won the top bid for Eskrigge and Monteleone's services and invited them to her family's farm to work in her mother’s yard.
The two boys showed up for work with classmate Lucas Kelley, senior, and a prospective student from Norcross, Ga. All were ready and willing to work. With the help of Dalton Stinson, first-grader, the boys the completed several landscaping projects.
