Students Excel at State Technology Competition
By Beth (Lumpkin) Wardlaw - FF/S
The Georgia Educational Technology Fair is an annual student technology competition produced by the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium. The GaETF is the highest level of student technology competition in Georgia where over 750 projects, representing the work of 1000+ students, are judged each March. For more information about GaETF please click here.
Darlington students in third- through twelfth-grade who received first place at the Northwest Georgia Regional Technology Fair were given the opportunity to compete at the state level. This year, GaETF took place on March 11, during Darlington’s spring break, so several regional winners were not able to attend. There are sixteen categories in the competition.
Seniors Julian Porto and Ian Kinney received scholarships for receiving the highest senior ranking in the robotics category.
