Student photographers receive honorable mentions

Two rising seniors were honored at the 15th Annual Pace Photography Competition and Exhibition last month. Morgan Myers’ “Hindsight” and Polly Roberts’ “Rainshower Effects” both received honorable mentions.
“I am thrilled with the positive results from this prestigious competition,” said Kathy O’Mara, art teacher. “The quality of the work submitted by our students was absolutely incredible.”
Pace Academy and Atlanta Celebrates Photography hosted the competition, which was held April 5-19 at Pace’s Fine Arts Center. This year, approximately 200 works were submitted by students from 25 public and private schools across Georgia. This is the second year in which Darlington has participated.
Photographs by Leslie Beninato, Mary Katherine Branham, Hannah Dodd, Jennifer Peacock, Daniel Powell and Shaan Singh were also entered in the competition.
