Student-athletes recognized at Winter Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in wrestling, swimming and diving and girls' and boys' basketball were recognized at the Winter Sports Assembly on Monday, March 5 in Morris Chapel. 

In girls' basketball:

Senior Julia Holmes from Rome, Ga. received the Academic Award. 

Junior Annabelle Braden from Rome, Ga. received the Pillar Award. 

Sophomore Caroline Dingler of Cedartown, Ga. received the Most Valuable Player Award. 

In boys' basketball: 

Senior Sam Tackeberry of Matthews, NC received the Pillar and Academic Awards. 

Junior JD Hull of Rome, Ga. received the Most Valuable Player Award. 
 
In wrestling: 

Junior Rhett McDurmon of Rome, Ga. received the Academic Award. 

Senior Davis Peek of Rome, Ga. received the Pillar Award. 

All three State Champions, juniors Dalton Blankenship of Aragon, Ga., Colton Woods of Cedartown, Ga., and Rhett McDurmon of Rome, Ga., received the Most Valuable Player Awards.  

In girls' swimming and diving: 

Junior Zenith Han from Beijing, China received the Academic Award. 

Senior Caroline Temples of Cartersville, Ga. received the Pillar Award. 

Sneior Madelyn Bou of Marietta, Ga. received the Most Valuable Player Award. 

In boys' swimming and diving: 

Junior Jack Eady of Rome, Ga. received the Academic and Most Valuable Player Awards. 

Sophomore Alexander Greene of Rome, Ga. received the Pillar Award.
