Student-athletes recognized at Winter Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in varsity basketball, cheerleading, diving, swimming and wrestling were recognized at the Winter Sports Assembly Monday, March 15 in Morris Chapel.
In basketball:
Junior Hunter Davis of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award and the Hustler Award.
Sophomore Lindsay Evans and senior Will Jones, both of Rome, were named Most Valuable. Evans also received a Captain's Award.
Freshman Allie Duckworth of Rome was named most Most Improved.
Freshman Allie Hurley of Rome received "The Stopper" Award for being the Most Valuable Defensive Player.
Senior Tylon Garrett of Rome was named Outstanding Rebounder.
In cheerleading:
Sophomore Adriana Dinatti and junior Brisha Askew, both of Rome, received Coaches' Awards. Askew also received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Sophomore Darlene Chikezie of Jonesboro, Ga., was named Most Valuable.
In diving:
Senior Hannah Montgomery of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Freshman Miles Bearden of Cartersville, Ga., received the Coach's Award.
Sophomore Andrew Safigan of Rome was named Most Improved.
In swimming:
Juniors Lindsey Braden of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jack Lynch of Rome received Scholar-Athlete Awards and Coach's Awards.
Freshmen Camille Temples and Will Warren, both of Cartersville, Ga., were named Most Improved.
Sophomore Melissa Picon of Rome and senior Ben Womble of Cedartown, Ga., were named Most Valuable.
In wrestling:
Junior Lucas Jennings of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Sophomore Spencer Jones of Adairsville and senior Kevin Sherrill of Cumming, Ga., received State Champion Awards. Sherrill also received the Captain's Award.
Sophomore Luke Maffett of Rome received the Coach's Award.
In basketball:
