Darlington's strategic plan was approved by the Board of Trustees Jan. 8, 1999. Led by Rome cardiologist, trustee, and parent Dr. Frank Stegall ’62, A Vision for Darlington: The Strategic Plan through the Year 2002 is a comprehensive guide which plots Darlington's future in seven areas: mission; curriculum; extracurricular affairs; faculty and staff; enrollment; leadership and governance; and finance, facilities, and development.
Over one hundred people – alumni, trustees, parents, administrators, faculty, and students – participated in the planning process, which began in the fall of 1997. A copy of the new strategic plan is posted on Darlington's web site: https://www.darlington.rome.ga.us/overview/strategicplan. Those who would like a printed copy may call the communications office at 706-236-0493 or e-mail communications@darlington.rome.ga.us.
