Spring Semester Book Clubs for 3rd-8th Grade Students

The Joanne G. Yancey Library (ELA-8) will continue to offer extracurricular book clubs for 3rd-8th grade students throughout the spring semester.
Students are not required to be at every meeting in order to be part of a book club. They may pick and choose which meeting(s) to attend.
At each meeting, we will discuss one book. Students should come to the meeting having read the book. Students are welcome to bring a snack from home.
3rd-5th grade students will meet after school, and we will offer a 4 p.m. dismissal. (Students can get picked up at the side door, stay for extended day, or ride the bus home at 4 p.m.)
6th-8th grade students will meet during their lunch periods.
3rd & 4th Grade Book Club (all meetings will run from 3:15 - 4 p.m.):
- 2/10 (Tuesday) – Frank Einstein and the Antimatter Motor by Jon Scieszka
- 3/24 (Tuesday) – The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate
- *Date TBA – Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin
5th Grade Book Club (all meetings will run from 3:15 - 4 p.m.):
- 2/11 (Wednesday) – Doll Bones by Holly Black
- 3/25 (Wednesday) – The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan
- *Date TBA – Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh
6th Grade Book Club (all meetings will run from 11:35 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.):
- 2/10 (Tuesday) – The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
- 3/17 (Tuesday) – The Giver by Lois Lowry
- 4/21 (Tuesday) – Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
7th & 8th Grade Book Club (all meetings will run from 10:45 - 11:15 a.m.):
- 2/10 (Tuesday) – Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
- 3/20 (Friday) – Insurgent (Divergent #2) by Veronica Roth
- 4/28 (Tuesday) – Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
