Sophomore selected for Bartow Youth Leadership Program

Sophomore Bonnie Rowland is one of 23 high school students from the Bartow County area to be selected to participate in the Bartow Chamber of Commerce's Youth Leadership Program.
"We have a great group of students this year and are excited to get the program underway," said Denise Manning, Youth Leadership Committee co-chairperson. "We really want the students to get as much out of it as possible."
This nine-month program allows high school sophomores to learn more about their community and hone their leadership skills. The Youth Leadership class will focus on law and order, local government, finance, industry, education, health and wellness, and community service. The application process is similar to a college application and consists of several short answer questions and an essay.
