Softball continues to battle in Region Tournament

The varsity girls' softball team continues to battle in the Region 6A Tournament. The team defeated Whitfield Academy 10-1 on Tuesday, click here to read the Rome News-Tribune article about that game. The team previously fell to Mount Pisgah on Monday, click here for that story.
The Lady Tigers will continue the week-long tournament today at 10 a.m. then again at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. if they keep winning. The region tournament will determine the placement for next week's state tournament, and it has been forced into a condensed schedule due to rain earlier in the week.
