Softball: As season nears local players ready to make some noise

Click here to read the recent Rome News-Tribune story about local varsity softball teams as they prepare for the upcoming season. The Lady Tigers, who went 13-12 last season, will kick off in August under the leadership of new head coach Kent Harrison ('01), who also coaches Darlington's varsity baseball team. Helping lead the charge this fall will be senior Taylor Sullins, who batted .368 last season before suffering a knee injury. Junior Emily Thurmond, an All-Area pick last season, will also be counted on to be a catalyst for the Lady Tigers.
