This is our son, Alex’s, second season playing for Darlington School Soccer Academy. He has now played in six college friendlies and will have played in more than 20 by the time he graduates in 2007.

By the time his senior season comes around, he will have played at college showcase tournaments in which the number of college coaches present will come close to 1,000! Furthermore, the experience of actually traveling to the colleges, playing on their fields, in front of their students and touring their campuses makes the upcoming college search real and tangible.

The Soccer Academy coaches have helped Alex prepare his 'resume' and player profile. He has been encouraged to proactively contact the college coaches at institutions he is interested in attending. He has also had the opportunity to play in front of college coaches that may well be interested in recruiting him. Most important, he has played against so many college kids that he knows he could play college soccer today if given the opportunity. This gives Alex great confidence in preparing to take that next big step in his soccer career.

From a parent's perspective, I have seen our son take on solid college players, some of whom are five years older and 50 pounds heavier and win more than his share of balls. I have seen his confidence increase, and I have seen his Soccer Academy coaches build him up and set him up for success.

If you are interested in a great soccer program where your child will not only learn the skills and strategies of the game, but also how to prepare him or herself to take the big leap to college soccer, you will not find a better development opportunity than Darlington School Soccer Academy. Great facilities. Superior, caring coaches. Totally unique. To get all of this at a school with an outstanding academic environment is more than any parent could hope for in their son/daughter’s academic and athletic development.

Darlington School Soccer Academy is designed for players who wish to develop to their maximum potential through a year-round “total soccer immersion environment.” The Soccer Academy is open to boys and girls seeking an excellent college preparatory education and a place to train, compete, and be exposed to a variety of domestic and international soccer experiences.
