Smith joins development office

Charlotte Smith has joined Darlington School’s Development Department as Annual Fund Gift Officer. She will have responsibilities within the department for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. As annual fund gift officer, Smith will drive the Annual Fund Campaign to its benchmark 1.35 million dollar goal. The Annual Fund, named this year for Darlington graduate Ramsey Potts ’34, provides 10 percent of Darlington’s operating budget and is essential to the School’s continued success.
Smith, a native of Atlanta, comes to Darlington School from Stetson University, Deland, Fla. where she was an admissions counselor. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn., and graduated from Baylor School, Chattanooga, Tenn.
